Sonia (SPAO1983)

In addition to 600 hours of verified experience with children, Sonia has worked as a private teacher and she helped teenagers to pass their secondary school exam. She received her driver's license in July 2010 but her father taught her how to drive almost a year ago. She drives daily and she feels comfortable behind the wheels. She won't have any difficulties if she has to drive in the US. She's been studying English for 15 years and she is currently enrolled in an English class. She considers her English good. She is also fluent in Italian and speaks fair German. She loves sports, reading, learning new languages, cooking. She usually works out at the gym, she is good at pilates, trekking, volleyball and beach-tennis. She worked as a private teacher. She says about her: "I am a very patient, loving and responsible person who is able to look after any child older than two" She is very family oriented and she loves children. She thinks that this program is the best fit for her.

 

 

Patricia (BRIE1933)

In addition to 400 hours of verified experience with infants and about 200 hours of on going experience with children, Patricia has been taking care of her younger cousin since she was born. She has also worked a physic high school teacher. She drives daily since March 2008. She has experience driving in city street, highways and countryside. She has never been in a traffic accident. She feels comfortable to drive in the US. Her English level is Intermediate. She likes going to the gym, playing soccer and hiking. She works as an environment engineer and she has to spend lot of time outdoor because of her job. She has worked both as a teacher and in a kindergarten. She is very independent and mature and she has already lived away from her family. Patricia will turn 27 y.o. in October she cannot arrive later than October 2010. Patricia wants to combine her love for children with the opportunity of life time experience in the US. She would like to improve her English and learn more about the US culture.

 

Ya-Chieh (TWWC 1978)

Ya-Chieh has 2600 hours of verified childcare experience as a babysitter, teacher and tutor, 500 of which was with an infant. She received her driver's license in August 2005 and currently drives less than once a week, mostly on country roads. Her English is rated as intermediate. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends, reading, watching movies and t.v and riding her bike. Musically, Ya-Chieh plays the piano, vibraphone and a small drum. For sports, Ya-Chieh enjoys hiking, biking, playing golf and swimming. This program will allow her to broaden her horizon and learn more about the world and herself.

 

 

 

Gabriela-Claudia ROEG1976

Gabriela-Claudia has over 600 hours of verified infant care experience as well approximately 930 hours of verified experience with children between the ages of two and nine years old. She received her driver's license in August 2004 and currently drives on a daily basis, mostly on city streets and in the countryside. Gabriela-Claudia has spent three months in the U.S.A on the Work and Travel program and her English is rated as a seven out of nine ( upper intermediate to advanced). In her free time she enjoys reading, going for walks, spending time with friends, dancing and riding bikes. Gabriela Claudia has a degree in Psychology and Sociology and currently works as a Social Worker. She was an active volunteer for the Foundation of Social Services where she assisted with a myriad of activities including assisting at hospitals and children's centers and fundraising for medical treatment. She loves children and spending time with them. She has also studied psychology/sociology and is happy when caring for other people, especially children.
