Au Pair Qualifications

CHI Au Pair USA candidates are selected based on their maturity, independence, adaptability, and, most importantly, for their sincere interest in and affection towards children.

Basic Au Pair Qualification Criteria:

• Between the ages of 18-26
• At least a high school graduate
• Proficient in English
• At least 200 hours of recent documented practical childcare experience
• In possession of a valid driver's license
• Has no criminal record
• Able to submit three references
• Able to pass a psychometric test which measures behavior and personality
• Willing to share customs and culture from their home country

The majority of our au pairs have over 500 hours of childcare experience and often have professional experience as teachers or nurses in their home country. Our au pairs are capable and skilled and ready for this amazing experience.
